Description

  • Manage all month end close tasks, including posting accruals and journal entries, while reviewing and correcting any misclassified transactions
  • Analyze monthly financial performance against budget, identifying and explaining key variances across income and expenses
  • Maintain accuracy of financial records through detailed reconciliations and ongoing general ledger review, along with monitoring daily cash activity
  • Work closely with the Housing Finance Manager to coordinate timely transfers for mortgages, reserves, excess cash flow, and program related funds
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages and support the annual budgeting process
  • Lead ad hoc financial projects and assist with specialized reporting as needed

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience, ideally within property management or a nonprofit environment
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight monthly deadlines
  • Strong analytical thinking skills with clear and effective written and verbal communication abilities
