Position Overview:The Property Accountant will support the accounting function by managing AR and GL processes, performing reconciliations, and providing financial insights for a portfolio of multifamily properties. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify accuracy of lease and accounting data entered into Yardi.

  • Review delinquency reports and collaborate with managers to maximize collections.

  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

  • Post month-end close journal entries.

  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.

  • Provide insights on property performance during monthly reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.

  • 1–2 years of corporate accounting experience.

  • Property management or residential real estate accounting experience preferred.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Yardi or similar property management software preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
