Shannon Staley & Sons is hiring an experienced Project Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day field operations of residential remodeling, renovation, and construction projects throughout the Pittsburgh area.

This is a field leadership position for someone who knows residential construction, can keep crews and subcontractors moving, catches problems before they become bigger problems, and takes ownership of the jobsite.

You’ll work closely with the Project Manager while taking the lead on daily production, quality, materials, subcontractors, jobsite organization, and communication from the field.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee daily construction activity and keep projects moving according to scope, schedule, and quality standards.
• Coordinate field employees, subcontractors, materials, deliveries, inspections, and jobsite access.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of assigned projects, drawings, scopes, selections, and schedules.
• Monitor workmanship, productivity, attendance, and completion of assigned work.
• Inspect work for quality and address incomplete or incorrect work before the project moves forward.
• Identify delays, material shortages, hidden conditions, scope issues, and other project risks and communicate them to the Project Manager.
• Forecast material and equipment needs and coordinate approved deliveries.
• Provide direction and support to Foremen, Craftsmen, Laborers, and subcontractors.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites.
• Maintain daily project documentation, including progress notes, photos, deliveries, delays, and unresolved issues.
• Communicate routine progress, access, housekeeping, and short-term scheduling information with Customers.
• Perform limited hands-on work or material pickup/delivery when needed.
• Maintain positive working relationships with Customers, subcontractors, vendors, and employees.

Pricing, contracts, payments, change orders, design decisions, and final scope decisions remain the responsibility of the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential construction, remodeling, renovation, or addition experience preferred.
• Previous experience as a Lead Carpenter, Foreman, Crew Leader, Construction Coordinator, Assistant Superintendent, or similar field leadership role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials, sequencing, and quality standards.
• Ability to read construction drawings, scopes of work, specifications, and schedules.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using a smartphone, tablet, or computer for project documentation.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance.
