Project Superintendent – Commercial ConstructionDescription:-The Project Superintendent is the day-to-day leader for the on-site construction activities of itsassigned projects within the company. -The Project Superintendent will work side-by-side with theassigned Project Manager and lead its supporting Project Engineers and Administrators tocomplete the construction of its assigned projects and in accordance with the project ContractAgreement entered into by the Company.-The Project Superintendent reports directly to the Director of Operations, Executive Manager.-The Project Superintendent position is dedicated to the on-site scheduling, coordination, safety,quality, inspections and scheduling activities of the assigned projects. -The Project Superintendentmust be capable of translating project strategy into tactical and operational on-site constructionactivity planning and implementation that creates the desired project financial, schedule, qualityand relationship results, and must possess a strong sense of ownership and accountability for theCompany’s expected project outcomes. The Project Superintendent must be capable and able towork with a diverse customer base in the commercial, office, warehouse, education, institutional, healthcare, retail, recreation, government, and hospitality sectors.Essential Job Function:-The activities of the Project Superintendent will include duties related to all aspects of jobsiteconstruction management aimed at increasing daily project throughput effectiveness. -The ProjectSuperintendent is self-managed, self-motivated, a self-starter, able to exercise considerableindependent judgment, employ exceptional analytical skills, and communicate clearly andeffectively. -The Project Superintendent is well organized, a problem solver, solutions-driven, musthave a positive, client-focused, “can-do” attitude, can multi-task with ease and is results driven.Qualities and Attributes:·Be a strategic thinker.·Be thoughtful, disciplined, and logical.·Demonstrated success and experience in the construction industry·Strong customer service orientation, both internal and external.·An execution mindset with a demonstrated track record of achieving defined objectives.·Progressive leadership experience in a professional environment with engagement inproject operations and team leadership within the construction industry.·Excellent communications and interpersonal skills; equally adept at one-on-one and groupcommunications; a team builder who creates strong partnerships, credibility andauthenticity at all levels of the project.·Strong leadership capability that encourages others through confidence, integrity, intellectand perseverance that inspires trust and confidence in staff members and clients.· Have strong organizational skills with a superior attention to detail.· Have analytical skills as a problem predictor, not just a problem solver.· Proven strategic planning and budgeting skills.· The ability to schedule and lead complex construction projects.· Have a track record of construction management excellence, evidenced by a record ofcompleting projects timely, providing quality work, and meeting cost objectives, whilemaintaining a safe and positive environment for all trades within the scope of the projects.
