Software Resources has an immediate, contract job opportunity for a Project Specialist, Brand & Franchise Data Conversion with a major corporation in Kissimmee, FL. On-site 4 days per week, Remote Fridays.
Job Summary:
The Project Specialist will support a critical enterprise-wide merchandise attribution transformation initiative. This role is responsible for driving the reclassification and conversion of merchandise items from the legacy Brand and Franchise structure to a future-state organizational model. The position will coordinate data mapping activities, establish quality controls, and partner with business and technology teams to ensure accurate and successful implementation.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, data governance experience, project coordination capabilities, and attention to detail. Familiarity with Disney brands, franchises, characters, and intellectual property is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
Merchandise Attribution Conversion
" Lead the execution of the Brand and Franchise merchandise reclassification initiative.
" Review and map merchandise items from the current attribution structure to the future-state Brand and Franchise model.
" Analyze product data to ensure accurate attribution across brands, franchises, and intellectual properties.
" Identify and resolve classification exceptions, discrepancies, and data gaps.
" Maintain documentation of business rules, mapping decisions, and conversion logic.
Data Governance & Quality Management
" Establish and maintain data governance processes supporting merchandise attribution accuracy.
" Develop validation procedures, quality controls, and audit mechanisms to ensure data integrity throughout conversion activities.
" Monitor conversion results and progress as well as investigate data quality issues.
" Recommend process improvements to strengthen ongoing data management practices.
Cross-Functional Project Coordination
" Partner with Planning, Merchandising, Strategy, Technology, other stakeholders to support project execution.
" Assist with change management and transition activities associated with the new organizational structure.
Qualifications:
Required:
" Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
" Knowledge of Disney brands, franchises, characters, and intellectual property.
" Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.- will collaborate with multiple teams across the organization, including technical and creative partners
" Experience working with large data sets and data quality processes.
" Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
" Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
" Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
" Experience working with cross-functional technology and business teams
" Must be able to work on site 4 days per week.
Preferred:
" Experience with data management, data governance, or classification projects.
" Experience with Business Objects and Tableau
" Familiarity with merchandise attribution, product hierarchy management, or retail merchandising processes.
" Experience supporting system testing, business process transformation, or enterprise data conversions.
