Job Title: Project Scheduler
Location: Houma, LA
Position Overview: The Project Scheduler will be responsible for overseeing the workflow for departments and operations according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times. This role involves development and maintenance of project schedule sequences for fabrication, assembly, and installation, as well as collecting and entering progress into the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage workflow between departments and operations based on established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- Lead in development of IMS to support sub-contract management and sub-contractors through the construction, outfitting and commissioning of vessels.
- Confer with department supervisors and sub-contractors to determine the physical status of assigned projects.
- Prepare reports and update project reviews.
- Maintain scheduled dates for the IMS process to ensure timely execution.
- Plan and review daily activities with supervisors and sub-contractors.
- Develop recovery plans as needed in collaboration with production supervision and sub-contracts management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing production schedules for industrial manufacturing and/or fabrication projects.
- Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software is required
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to organize and multi-task multiple projects effectively.
- Proficient in utilizing basic computer software (MS Office applications).
