The Project Scheduler is the primary scheduling resource for assigned projects, responsible for developing, maintaining, analyzing, and optimizing project schedules throughout the project lifecycle. This role partners closely with project teams to drive schedule performance, identify risks, support forecasting, and ensure successful project execution using Primavera P6 and project controls best practices.

Description

Project Scheduler - Healthcare/Infrastructure Construction - Charlotte will be responsible for:

  • Serve as the primary scheduling expert and key project team member for assigned projects.
  • Develop, baseline, maintain, update, and analyze project schedules from milestone-level planning through detailed execution schedules.
  • Translate project scope, execution strategy, and stakeholder requirements into integrated project schedules.
  • Lead scheduling setup activities, including work breakdown structures, coding, calendars, schedule architecture, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure contractual milestones, deliverables, and scheduling obligations are incorporated into project plans.
  • Identify schedule risks, delays, and performance issues, and develop mitigation, recovery, or acceleration plans.
  • Administer and maintain project schedules within Primavera P6 while ensuring data integrity and quality.
  • Perform critical path, float, variance, milestone, productivity, resource, and trend analyses to support project decision-making.
  • Conduct schedule health assessments and identify logic issues, constraints, progress anomalies, and schedule risks.
  • Lead schedule update meetings and communicate schedule status, key milestones, risks, and required actions to stakeholders.
  • Develop look-ahead schedules, manpower histograms, progress curves, dashboards, and management reports.
  • Support schedule risk analysis, delay analysis, claims evaluations, and time impact assessments.
  • Integrate schedule data with project forecasting, cash flow, earned value, and cost management processes.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Project Controls teams to align project forecasts and performance expectations.
  • Manage schedule-related aspects of project change management, including impact assessments and documentation.
  • Maintain schedule baselines, narratives, and supporting records to support project reporting and contractual requirements.
  • Incorporate commissioning, energy performance, and verification milestones into project schedules when applicable.
  • Facilitate planning sessions and convert execution strategies and resource plans into actionable schedules.
  • Prepare and present schedule reports, KPI dashboards, milestone updates, and executive summaries.
  • Provide scheduling guidance, mentorship, and training to project teams and fellow project controls professionals.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through scheduling best practices, analytics, automation, and process enhancements.

Profile

Project Scheduler - Healthcare/Infrastructure Construction - Charlotte should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible project scheduling experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of Gantt charts, Critical Path Method (CPM), and schedule analysis techniques.
  • Experience supporting or leading planning and scheduling activities on construction, engineering, or EPC projects.
  • Knowledge of project lifecycle phases including engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience analyzing schedule performance, identifying risks, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong data management and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience with Accumen Fuse is preferred but not required.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to project sites, client locations, and company facilities.
