    Project Scheduler
    Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center, Dallas, TX – Fully Onsite
    $85-125K (Depending on Experience) – Full Time with Benefits
     
    Take your career to the next level with us!  R.M. Chin & Associates, Inc. (R.M. Chin) is seeking a candidate with six years of experience in major construction project scheduling. Candidates require a minimum of six years of experience in major construction projects. Customer-facing skills are also required.
     
    Qualification Requirements
    • Education – bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management, civil engineering, or highly-related discipline preferred.
    • Experience – 6+ years of experience on major construction projects
    • Project scope preparation
    • Strong problem solving and change management skills.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Candidate must demonstrate a willingness to acquire new responsibilities and skills, and work in a team environment.
    Key Responsibilities:  
    This role is responsible for understanding the overall project / program scope and managing the assigned project or group of projects. Stakeholder coordination and strong communication are also key roles.
    • Knowledgeable of planning and scheduling concepts and principles including effects on financial performance.
    • Familiar with data sources and supports basic schedule development.
    • Supports analysis of schedule, identifies and investigates project schedule variances.
    • Collects and updates data; updates and produces scheduling reports.
    • Assists in the development and maintenance of WBS and support activities to implement applicable coding. Supports basic schedule development.
    • Supports gathering and assembling data for schedule updating.
    • Supports measurement of project schedule progress and gathers and assembles data for schedule and network updating.
    • Gathers data for schedule baseline development and maintenance.
    • Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and construction contracting methods.
    • Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles; able to develop basic engineering, procurement and construction logic.
    • Understands concepts and principles of scope control and change management and earned value methodology.
    • Supports monthly report preparation.
    • May participate in planning and scheduling meetings to gain insight to planning and scheduling issues.
    • Exposure to basic scheduling and cost baseline fundamentals, concepts and principles

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • AACE Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP)
    • AACE Earned Value Professional (EVP)
    • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP)
    • Excellent Communication and Problem Solving Skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
    Key Competencies:
    • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and balance multiple tasks.
    • Pro-active and takes initiative.
     
    Job Offer:
    • Competitive base salary between $85-125K, depending on project assignment, experience, skills, and location.
