Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project/Program Manager III to support large-scale data center infrastructure, rebuild, and commissioning projects. This role is ideal for a technically strong project/program manager who can lead multiple vendors and contractors while understanding the electrical and mechanical systems involved in complex facilities.
The role is highly field-oriented and requires regular on-site presence. Travel between project sites may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage data center rebuild, infrastructure, and commissioning programs from planning through completion.
- Manage multiple contractors, vendors, and technical workstreams simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, and action plans.
- Coordinate with engineering, construction, commissioning, operations, and vendor teams.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure work is completed according to project requirements, quality standards, and timelines.
- Review technical issues and work with vendors and engineering teams to drive resolution.
- Identify project risks, blockers, and dependencies and escalate them appropriately.
- Drive accountability across internal teams and external partners.
- Provide regular project status updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
- Support site readiness, commissioning activities, rebuilds, testing, and issue resolution.
- Document project decisions, lessons learned, risks, and corrective actions.
- Travel to other project locations as required.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of relevant project/program management experience in data centers, critical facilities, industrial infrastructure, construction, commissioning, or a similar environment.
- Strong technical understanding of electrical and/or mechanical infrastructure.
- Electrical experience with power distribution and switchgear is highly valuable.
- Mechanical experience with systems such as chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, liquid cooling, exhaust fans, or large mechanical distribution is highly valuable.
- Experience managing third-party vendors, contractors, and technical teams.
- Experience working on complex, large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Strong problem-solving, escalation management, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive projects to completion.
- Comfortable working on-site Monday through Friday.
- Willingness to travel as required, potentially up to approximately 50%.
