Summary

Job Summary

In coordination with organizational governance bodies, ensures consistent and efficient execution of business and IT projects, and initiatives that are critical to the delivery of organizational strategic priorities.  Implements and manages various methods and practices around tracking and reporting the conformance to plans and expectations of key initiatives.  Leads the identification and implementation of project management processes, methods, tools, guidelines, and standards establishing a stable framework that supports all project teams and stakeholders to improve the probability of successful project delivery.  Regularly reviews and evaluates opportunities to improve the project management best practices.  Facilitates the agreed-upon process that develops plans and prioritization by leadership and governance bodies.  Builds and maintains relationships with senior leadership and key governance body stakeholders.

Minimum Job Requirements

Work Experience

Five years of experience in a project management role.  Experience with clinical and financial information systems within a healthcare environment.  Experience in implementation and support of large healthcare applications. 

 

License/Registration/Certification:

PMP or Project Management Professional Certification preferred.

 

Education and Training

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business/Administration or related field required.

  1. Demonstrated experience in leading diverse teams.
  2. Demonstrated PMO and project management planning/execution skills.
  3. Experience across a broad variety of projects including technology, business process reengineering, process improvement.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and technologies to business leaders and business concepts to executives.
  5. Excellent analytical, strategic conceptual thinking, strategic planning and execution skills.
  6. Effective influencing and negotiation skills in an environment where resources may not be in direct control of this role
  7. Must have experience as a team leader in a project and resource management role.
