Project Manager with MES Skill set
This PM role involves end-to-end management of MES application projects, focusing on strategic planning, cross-functional coordination, and effective implementation. Key responsibilities include monitoring project performance, managing risks and vendor relationships, and driving user adoption through comprehensive change management.
" 10+ years of experience in project management, with a direct focus on manufacturing IT and MES (e.g., Apriso, Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, SAP ME/MII) implementation projects.
" Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale system implementations and upgrades.
" Strong knowledge of shop-floor systems, manufacturing operations management (MOM), and hardware/software integration processes.
" Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
" Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
" Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering results.
" Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Responsibilities:
Lead the planning and implementation of MES application projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and senior management.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring effective collaboration among technical, operational, and engineering stakeholders.
Monitor project progress, track performance, and implement corrective actions as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
Identify and manage project risks and issues, proactively developing mitigation strategies.
Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting project milestones, risks, and budget status.
Ensure adherence to project management best practices and organizational standards.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) as needed for project execution.
Facilitate change management processes related to the new MES systems, ensuring shop-floor user adoption and training.
Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and new technologies relevant to Industry 4.0 and manufacturing execution.
