What You'll Do:

Project Managers are responsible for the overall planning, execution, financial performance, and successful delivery of assigned construction projects. Working closely with clients, field leadership, subcontractors, and internal teams, you'll ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably while developing future leaders within the organization. Responsibilities include:

• Lead all aspects of project delivery, including safety, quality, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and client satisfaction.
• Manage project financial performance through forecasting, cash flow management, cost controls, change management, and payment collections.
• Lead Project Engineers, Field Supervisors, and craft professionals to successfully execute complex construction projects.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and project partners.
• Oversee preconstruction activities, estimating, planning, project startup, and project closeout.
• Prepare and review project proposals, conceptual estimates, detailed takeoffs, final pricing, and project execution strategies.
• Support business development efforts through client engagement, marketing, bidding, and pursuit of new work opportunities.
• Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Project Managers, Field Supervisors, and other team members.
• Drive a culture of safety, accountability, continuous improvement, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service.

Position Structure:

• Project Manager I: Leads complex projects with support from experienced field leadership. Responsible for project execution, financial performance, client communication, and developing Project Engineers while supporting business development.
• Project Manager II: Leads larger or multiple projects, develops Project Engineers and Field Supervisors, drives project financial performance, and plays a significant role in client development, business growth, and mentoring future leaders.
• Senior Project Manager: Provides strategic leadership across major projects and client relationships, develops Project Managers and operational leaders, and helps drive long-term business growth while delivering safe, profitable work.

What We're Looking For:

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline
• Equivalent technical or industry experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Demonstrated success leading industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or heavy construction projects
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with clients, field teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressively responsible construction project management experience

• Experience managing projects valued at $5M or greater

• Experience within one or more of the following sectors:

• Advanced Manufacturing and High-Tech Facilities

• Industrial Manufacturing

• Mechanical and Process Piping

• Hydropower and Power Generation

• Knowledge of construction safety and environmental regulations

• Experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6, Procore, Viewpoint, B2W, or comparable construction software

• Demonstrated experience with estimating, forecasting, change management, project financial controls, and mentoring project teams

Work Environment & Travel:

• This position is based out of our corporate office in Vancouver, WA. Frequent travel or temporary relocation may be required to support JR Merit's projects.
• This role requires the ability to utilize, maintain, and wear all PPE as required by JR Merit, the client, and any other applicable regulatory agency or management directive.
• At times, work may be performed at a job site where additional training, certifications, or clearances may be needed to comply with jobsite requirements.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range (depending on skill level)

• Project Manager I: $115,000 - $132,250
• Project Manager II: $132,250 - $155,250
• Senior Project Manager: $155,250 - $172,500

Final placement and compensation will be based on experience, leadership capabilities, technical expertise, and demonstrated project management success.
