    Position Summary

    The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful execution of utility infrastructure projects from contract award through final closeout. This position provides leadership for project planning, budgeting, scheduling, safety, quality, procurement, client relationships, and financial performance while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

    Essential Functions

    • Manage projects throughout the entire project lifecycle from preconstruction through closeout.
    • Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
    • Lead project kickoff meetings with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
    • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
    • Monitor project financial performance, forecasts, and profitability.
    • Review project budgets, labor productivity, equipment utilization, and material costs.
    • Coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
    • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and consultant performance.
    • Review and negotiate contracts, purchase orders, and subcontract agreements.
    • Prepare monthly project status reports and executive updates.
    • Maintain strong customer relationships and serve as the primary project contact.
    • Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
    • Administer change orders, claims, and contract modifications.
    • Support project scheduling using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
    • Collaborate with Project Controllers to monitor cost performance and cash flow.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
    • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety programs.
    • Conduct project review meetings and lessons learned sessions.
    • Support business development efforts through proposal assistance and client presentations.
    • Lead project closeout activities, including financial reconciliation and documentation completion.
    • Develop and mentor project engineers, coordinators, and field personnel.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery and operational performance.
