Project Manager - Structural Steel Shop

A West Chester, OH area structural steel fabricator is seeking a Project Manager who can drive jobs from contract award to erection while coordinating shop production with steel erectors in the field.

What the job involves:

• Coordinate closely with steel erectors on sequencing, delivery schedules, field issues, and site logistics
• Work with detailers, engineers, and the shop to keep drawings, approvals, and fabrication on track
• Track costs, billing, and production progress, and flag risks early
• Run project meetings with general contractors, owners, and erectors; manage RFIs and submittals
• Manage fabricated steel projects from contract award through closeout: scope, schedule, budget, and change orders

What we need:

• Proven experience coordinating with steel erectors and field crews
• Strong communication, scheduling, and cost-control skills
• 8+ years of project management in structural steel fabrication or steel erection
• Able to read structural and shop drawings
• Engineering or construction management degree, or equivalent experience, preferred
