We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager with Data Center or Healthcare build experience for a GC in Virginia.

Our Client is a growing commercial general contractor headquartered in Sterling, Virginia, specializing in high-quality construction management, tenant improvements, healthcare facilities, mission critical environments, and commercial interior projects throughout the Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Northern Virginia region.

Position Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of mission critical construction projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. This individual will have extensive experience managing healthcare facilities, data centers, or other complex, technically demanding commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who excels in client communication, scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple mission critical construction projects simultaneously.
• Lead projects from pre-construction through final completion.
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, procurement logs, and cost forecasts.
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Review drawings and specifications for constructability and value engineering opportunities.
• Manage project buyout and subcontract negotiations.
• Monitor project costs and proactively identify budget risks.
• Lead weekly owner meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and contractual requirements.
• Process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
• Mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying future business opportunities.

Qualifications
Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 5+ years of Project Management experience managing mission critical construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience with:
  • Data Centers
  • Healthcare Facilities
  • Mission Critical Infrastructure
• Experience working for a General Contractor.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency with:
  • Procore
  • Bluebeam
  • Microsoft Project
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred

• OSHA 30 Certification
• LEED Accreditation
• Design-Build experience
• Experience managing occupied renovations
• Experience with electrical and mechanical-intensive facilities
