Project Manager – Commercial Construction

A leading Statesboro commercial general contractor is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to its team. This is an opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio of commercial projects while working closely with owners, architects, subcontractors and field teams from early planning through final closeout.

The company delivers design-build projects across a wide range of markets, including education, municipal, hospitality, restaurants, industrial, healthcare, multifamily, recreation and commercial renovations.

What You’ll Do

As Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of your projects and serve as a key point of communication between the client, design team, field leadership and subcontractor partners.

Responsibilities will include:

• Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules and overall project controls
• Coordinate subcontractor buyout, contracts and procurement
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation
• Work closely with Superintendents to maintain schedule, quality and jobsite progress
• Review drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Lead owner, architect and subcontractor meetings
• Track project costs, forecasts and financial performance
• Identify potential issues early and develop practical solutions
• Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the project
• Coordinate permitting, inspections and project closeout
• Ensure commitments are followed through from initial planning to final handoff

What We’re Looking For

• Commercial construction Project Management experience with a General Contractor
• Experience managing projects through multiple phases of construction
• Strong understanding of budgets, schedules, subcontractor management and project documentation
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accountability
• Experience working directly with owners, architects and field teams
• Design-build and preconstruction experience is a plus
• Experience across education, municipal, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, multifamily or similar commercial projects is beneficial
