Position Overview

As the Senior Procurement Project Manager, you will serve as the technical liaison between TDEC and the Central Procurement Office (CPO). Your role will involve developing proposals, administering procurement activities, and ensuring compliance with state procurement policies. This position requires excellent organizational, project management, and time management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and assist in solicitation specifications based on various information sources.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of multiple solicitation methods, including RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs.
• Represent TDEC and the Grants & Contracts division with internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide strategic advice to procurement and program staff on procurement methods and strategy development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in business, procurement, and/or contract management.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Strong verbal communication, proofreading/editing, and scheduling skills.

Preferences

• Experience in legal and insurance-related procurement activities.
• Proficient in customer service and email correspondence.
