THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE THE CONSULTANT TO WORK 3 DAYS ONSITE & 2 DAYS REMOTE
Short Term Assignment
M-F
Unpaid .30 Minute Unpaid Lunch Break
No Holiday work, Overtime or travel required
No Parking Provided

Summary:
This role is responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and enforcement of policies, procedures, internal controls and audits within the IT Department. This includes review of existing items that may need to be revised or rescinded (e.g., asset policy and procedures), as well as identification of any new polices, procedures, or controls needed to appropriately evaluate, mitigate, and manage business risk. This role collaborates with the Executive Offices to develop and issue these documents as needed. This position will develop IT communications programs for IT staff based on themes and take the necessary steps to deliver and measure the success of such programs.

Qualifications, Experience, and Education:
• Preferred certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt & Black Belt from an accredited institution or training company.
• Years of experience in Business Process Modelling (& management) with MS Visio is required.
• Excellent oral, written, presentation, and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint version 2010 or higher
• Familiarity with Microsoft Project version 2010 or higher
• Excellent inter-personal skills including the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute in a high-pressure environment
• Ability to independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, a self-starter
• Familiarity with creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and documenting key process requirements and can produce sample work upon request
• General Knowledge of public mass transit assets & operations
• Expert Knowledge of lean methods, waste elimination, 5S, total productive maintenance, flow, and error proofing
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis and value stream mapping
• Led Kaizen or CI events and or improvement teams and implemented lean manufacturing techniques.
• Strong Problem Solving & analytical skills
• Strong Project Management, coordination and multi-tasking skills
• Strong Leadership skills with the ability to develop, motivate and foster teamwork
• Strong ability to exercise a reasonable level or in-depth judgement and decision making
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational & planning skills with attention to detail
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to prepare concise and insightful reports in a timely manner
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with all levels in the company & outside agencies
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office (Work, EXCEL, Visio, Access, etc).
• Proficient in MS VISIO for process mapping

Salary commensurate with scope of work job experience
Proper footwear required to perform tasks in a safe manner.
Perform other reasonably related duties as required.
