    Description

    As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of various self-perform construction projects. You will lead our internal Tesla Construction team and collaborate cross-functionally with base build, construction engineering, and manufacturing engineering departments to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

    • Lead a team of Project Coordinators, Buyers, Superintendents, and craft personnel
    • Foster a company-wide culture focused on safety and quality
    • Conduct constructability reviews of design packages and manage project risks/opportunities throughout the lifecycle
    • Maintain a proactive, can-do attitude to align stakeholders with project goals
    • Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements and interface with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and commissioning teams
    • Conduct Lessons Learned sessions during and after each project
    • Enforce high standards for document configuration control (including RFI incorporation into Record drawings) and manage Change Control for all new scope
    • Minimum 10 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, or civil/structural/architectural fields, including 5 years as a Project Manager
    • Previous experience managing projects valued at $25M or more
    • Bachelor s Degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent experience; MBA or PMP certification preferred
    • Proficiency in material take-offs, estimating, reading, interpreting, and managing changes to construction drawings
    • Strong skills in construction baseline development, change control, cost/schedule performance, and variance analysis
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
    • Willingness to engage hands-on as needed to achieve objectives and lead teams through challenging projects
    • Ability to thrive in a high-performance, cross-functional environment with tight timelines and ambitious goals
    • Openness to new ideas and a commitment to continuous learning
    • Willingness to travel to various project locations as required (up to 50%), often on short notice
