Project Manager

Our client is a well-established commercial construction and construction management firm with approximately 60 employees and a strong reputation serving federal, defense, intelligence, secure technology, and commercial clients nationwide. The company specializes in secure facilities, tenant interiors, commercial renovations, data centers, and design-build construction solutions. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a talented Project Manager to help deliver high-profile projects while maintaining exceptional client relationships and operational excellence. This Project Manager will play a key role in managing multiple projects simultaneously and supporting the continued expansion of the organization.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of commercial interior, secure facility, and specialty construction projects from preconstruction handoff through closeout. Responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, typically ranging from $2.5M to $5M in value
  • Lead project planning, execution, financial management, and client communication
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and project stakeholders
  • Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules throughout the construction lifecycle
  • Perform cost-to-complete forecasting and monitor job profitability
  • Prepare and review financial reports, budgets, and project forecasts
  • Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget
  • Collaborate with internal teams during project transitions from design-build and preconstruction phases
  • Travel to project sites as needed throughout the United States
  • Utilize construction management software including Procore, Bluebeam, and Vista
  • Maintain strong client relationships and uphold project quality and safety standards
  • Work closely with senior leadership and support the continued growth of the Project Manager team

The successful applicant will have:

  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects
  • Strong understanding of construction management fundamentals
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, project schedules, and project financials
  • Demonstrated ability to perform cost-to-complete forecasting and profitability analysis
  • Skilled in financial reporting, budgeting, and project controls
  • Experience with tenant interiors, commercial renovations, or corporate interior projects
  • SCIF, secure facility, federal, or defense project experience is preferred but not required
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and Vista software
  • Experience using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project is a plus
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred (company assistance available if needed)
  • Driven, accountable, and capable of operating with a high level of ownership
  • Travel flexibility preferred
