Project Manager

Pay Rate: $37.84-$52.55/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am-4:30pm
Description of Position:
Do you have experience leading large-scale IT projects and improving project management processes? Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager for a hybrid position supporting a District team. This role will focus on helping standardize and streamline project management processes across the District, while also supporting and managing smaller projects as needed.
The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience, an IT background, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to create structure around projects, processes, timelines, and communication. Experience with Microsoft project management tools is highly valued.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate large-scale enterprise IT projects
- Help standardize and streamline project management processes across the District
- Develop and improve consistent project management practices, tools, and workflows
- Support projects that require changes to business processes and automation
- Manage project timelines, milestones, deliverables, and priorities
- Coordinate with internal teams, stakeholders, and project partners
- Track project progress and identify potential issues, delays, or roadblocks
- Facilitate project meetings and maintain clear communication with stakeholders
- Use project management tools to organize tasks, schedules, resources, and project information
- Assist with smaller projects and initiatives as needed
- Prepare project documentation, status updates, reports, and presentations
- Help ensure projects are completed on time and deliver expected business value
- Support continuous improvement of the District's project management processes

You will be supporting a transportation company in San Francisco, California.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 4 years of industry/IT experience
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience
- Experience leading large-scale enterprise projects
- Experience managing projects that involve changes to business practices and/or automation
- Strong understanding of project management principles and processes
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and follow through
- Ability to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders
- Experience using Microsoft project management and productivity tools
- PMI certification is highly desirable
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technology field preferred
- Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis, subject to the employer's requirements
