We are seeking an experienced Project Manager III to lead complex, enterprise-level projects supporting a major energy organization. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects from initiation through completion while ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards and business objectives.
The successful candidate will possess exceptional leadership, communication, and organizational skills and have a proven history of managing large-scale, cross-functional projects. This is a long-term contract opportunity offering the chance to work on mission-critical initiatives within a highly regulated environment.
Lead multiple complex projects from initiation through successful completion.
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
Coordinate activities across multiple departments and functional organizations.
Establish project timelines, assign responsibilities, and monitor deliverables.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Track project milestones and provide regular status updates to senior leadership.
Prepare executive-level reports regarding project progress, budget, scope, and schedule.
Ensure projects meet established quality standards and business objectives.
Lead project meetings and facilitate communication among stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with established Project Management processes and organizational requirements.
Mentor project team members and provide leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is required (or must be obtained within six months of assignment).
Minimum of 10 years of Project Management experience.
Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional enterprise projects.
Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and manage competing priorities.
Experience preparing executive-level reports and project documentation.
Candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas are highly desirable:
Physical Security programs
Critical Infrastructure Protection
Regulatory Compliance
NERC CIP Standards
Security Assessments
Risk Management
Utility or Energy Industry experience
This position requires working within a structured, highly regulated environment where adherence to project governance, compliance requirements, and organizational standards is essential.
Full-Time Contract Position
Approximately 99-week assignment
40-hour work week
Overtime may be available based on project needs
