Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Plant Maintenance
Reliability Engineer to improve the reliability, availability, maintainability and performance of manufacturing and utility assets at our Angleton, Texas manufacturing facility.
The facility manufactures powder coatings for metals, rebar, pipelines and other corrosion-resistant applications. The role will support a highly automated manufacturing environment involving process equipment, material handling systems, motors, drives, pumps, conveyors, extruders, valves, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, electrical systems and industrial control systems.
The successful candidate will combine mechanical, electrical, controls, automation and reliability engineering to transition the plant from reactive maintenance toward a data-driven, predictive and condition-based maintenance culture.
This position will work closely with Production, Maintenance, Process Engineering, Quality, EHS, IT/OT and equipment suppliers
Key Responsibilities:
Asset Reliability
Maintenance Strategy
Manufacturing Equipment Reliability
Provide engineering support for equipment including:
Develop equipment-specific maintenance strategies, inspection standards, spare-parts strategies and failure-prevention plans.
Electrical, Controls
Automation
Work closely with controls and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and improve industrial automation systems.
Predictive
Condition-Based Maintenance
Identify critical assets suitable for online condition monitoring and IIoT-enabled predictive maintenance.
CMMS
Maintenance Data
Establish effective equipment hierarchies and asset master data within the CMMS.
Improve preventive-maintenance plans and job plans.
Maintenance Planning
Execution
Partner with Maintenance Supervisors and Technicians to plan corrective and preventive work.
OT / Digital Manufacturing
Partner with Plant IT/OT and Automation Engineering to advance the plant's digital manufacturing capabilities.
Identify practical opportunities to use plant data to predict failures rather than react to them.
Required Skills:
Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, Controls Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
5+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance, reliability, plant engineering or industrial automation.
Experience reading mechanical drawings, electrical schematics and P IDs.
Working knowledge of CMMS systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
