My client is an industry leading manufacturing company who is growing! They are looking to add a Project Manager to their team who will perform all the in-house and customer coordinating activities needed for projects which require development, qualification or have some issues to address which will not allow for routine production.

Job Details

Duties:

• Prepare, distribute and update project plan(s), including WBS, detailed project schedule, risk register, resource allocation, etc., to enable team members and senior management to understand all facets of a project and follow its progress. Track status against project plan and prepare status reports and project management documents.
• Work closely with functional departments to ensure that all concerns are addressed (recurring and non-recurring costs, adherence to schedule, safety issues, satisfactory functionality, reliability). Work closely with members of project team across functions to enable cohesive tracking, integration, and real-time coordination of project activities.
• Alert senior management when real or potential problems arise which could affect satisfactory completion of a project.
• Support meeting requirements (internal and with customers); organize participants, locations, agendas, and minutes.
• Track project milestones and ensure deliverables are produced on time and meet quality standards.
• Track and proactively manage all issues and risks associated with the project.
• Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
• Develop and deliver regular project progress reports, including proactive analyses of issues and risks to key deliverables.
• Manage and report on project financial status to ensure profitability. (Experience with Earned Value Management system will be a strong advantage).

Qualifications:

• Required Qualifications:

o 3+ Years of Experience in a Project Management (or similar) role
o Experience working in an engineering team
o Experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent software
o Experience building and tracking schedules

• Desired Qualifications:

o 5+ Years of Experience in a Project Management role
o Aerospace experience
o Experience with aerospace engineering design reviews (i.e. PDR, CDR, etc.)


Education/Training:

• Bachelor's in Engineering or similar technical degree
• PMP or similar certification is a strong plus
• Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio.
