Description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Project Manager for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in New York, NY.

Responsibilities :
  • Drive development of strategic solutions to facilitate best in class management of client static data across Markets including scalable processes to mask client data.
  • Take full ownership and lead project workstreams to ensure requirements of the business case are defined and implemented within agreed timelines.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders across various levels and functions. Build consensus and secure buy-in for project objectives and deliverables. Manage stakeholder expectations and address concerns and roadblocks proactively.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Front Office Desks, Technology, Operations, Legal, and Compliance, to ensure alignment on project requirements and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans encompassing scope and timelines across multiple workstreams, incorporating dependencies and critical path analysis.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Develop escalation paths and contingency plans. Ensure timely and transparent communication of risks and issues to relevant stakeholders, including senior management ensuring these are documented and escalated where appropriate.
  • Prepare concise and impactful PowerPoint presentations for weekly reporting and monthly governance forums, highlighting key achievements, risks, issues, and upcoming milestones. Communication to be tailored based on audience.
  • Comply with firm's Project Management Council (CPMC) standards and surpass threshold metrics: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project information in the Project Tracking System and ensure proper documentation of project artifacts for audit and compliance purposes.
Required Skills:
  • Project Manager with 5-7 years' experience in major/complex institutions (Tier 1 banks or Top 4 consulting firms), ideally working on Regulatory/Client Data Management projects, to work within the Front Office Transformation Team.
  • Broad Markets experience preferred with the ability to operate effectively across all asset classes and understand front to back flows within Markets.
  • Proactive, self-starter with ability to independently lead initiatives, requiring minimal oversight after initial direction
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and develop creative solutions to complex challenges.
  • Client Data Management: Demonstrate a strong understanding of front-to back Markets Client Data Flows and navigation of impacted systems and processes
  • Strong understanding of Markets products (e.g., Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Commodities) and trading environments.
  • Proven ability to effectively navigate large, complex, and diverse teams and projects, fostering collaboration and resolving conflicts constructively
  • Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks within the context of financial markets.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, manage expectations, and influence decision-making.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint, including data visualization and presentation of complex information.
  • Ability to use MS Excel for large data sets to identify, report and drive change
