Project Manager

Job Description

Manage all aspects of a small to medium-sized project, including defining project scope, schedule, and budget in collaboration with clients or NAM. Design, communicate, and implement a comprehensive project plan to ensure successful completion.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and ensure compliance with approved safety plans.
  • Resolve operational problems and minimize project delays.
  • Identify, develop, and gather resources, including preparing calculations, designs, reports, and work specifications.
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Select materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors as needed.
  • Partner with other departments to secure specialized resources.
  • Conduct meetings and prepare status reports on the project.
  • Set priorities, assign tasks, and coordinate project staff to meet targets and milestones.
  • Coordinate with APR to ensure appropriate project oversight.
  • Coordinate with accounting for financial management, invoicing, and collections.
  • Understand project-related risks and company risk policies.
  • Promote continuous quality monitoring and improvement on projects.
  • Engage APRs at project onset and ensure quality standards and practices are maintained.

Essential Skills

  • Project management experience in construction and materials testing.
  • Knowledge of civil engineering and construction management.
  • Experience in site development and project coordination.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, or related technical discipline with a minimum of 5 years' experience, or a minimum of 9 years' experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.

Work Environment

This role is based in the Nashville office, supporting a team of CMTs. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work. The company offers hands-on training, pays for certifications and extra training, and provides profit-sharing opportunities as an employee-owned firm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $37.50/hr.
