Project Manager - Mulitfamily/Commercial

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee multifamily and commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. Our client is a well-established Chicago-area General Contractor with a strong reputation for delivering multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, and hospitality projects throughout the city and surrounding suburbs. Their portfolio includes mid-rise, podium, mixed-use, and tenant improvement projects for repeat clients and developers.

Description

• Lead all phases of project management from award through completion
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and subcontractor agreements
• Review contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
• Work closely with Superintendents to ensure project execution aligns with schedule and budget
• Coordinate with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors
• Lead project meetings and provide regular project reporting
• Manage monthly cost forecasting and financial reporting
• Negotiate change orders and resolve project issues proactively

Profile

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a General Contractor
• Experience managing multifamily, mixed-use, commercial, or hospitality projects
• Comfortable overseeing projects valued at $10M-$75M+
• Strong knowledge of construction scheduling and cost control
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
