Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Project Manager.

In this role, the successful candidate manages small to mid-size hospital and off-campus design and construction activities associated with completion of projects. The successful candidate applies a comprehensive knowledge of various disciplines to be used during design and construction, as well as the methods and techniques to be utilized for installation of equipment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervision of assigned Planning and Feasibility study projects for the Engineering Dept. Reviews documents. Involved in preparation of project budgets. Responsible for record keeping and scheduling for the duration of the projects. Coordinates job meetings with architects, engineers, and end users.
  • Supervise all on-site construction, including scheduling subcontractors, resolving day-to-day problems on the job site, and inspecting all work during construction to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Inspection and evaluation of work progress, equipment and construction sites to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met. Responsible for utility coordination. Responsible for obtaining necessary building permits as mandated by the local jurisdictions.
  • Oversight of all work for compliance with contract documents. Review and recommendation of contractor Payment Applications and change orders. Document control and submittal to Engineering Dept. for payment processing. Ensures safety measuresInfection Control Requirements Documents (ICRA) & Life Safety Documents (ILSM) measures required for construction. Ensures effective implementation of Hospital and client policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for supervision of assigned construction projects for the Engineering Dept. Reviews construction documents and specifications. Involved in bid openings and decision of awarding contracts. Review of construction drawings and specifications. Coordinates job meetings with contractors, architects, engineers, and end users. Orders necessary materials through Purchasing Dept via Unifier. Coordinates with department managers for utility shutdowns.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 1 - 2 years Healthcare Engineering Construction background, project management and supervisory experience. Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, supervisory skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel, and Project.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $84,577.92 - $98,280.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
