Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of high-end, design-driven interior construction projects throughout New York City. This role is geared toward a construction professional who can independently manage complex projects while working closely with owners, architects, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Client Details

Our client is a highly regarded Manhattan General Contractor specializing in luxury interior construction across the residential, retail, and hospitality markets. Their portfolio includes custom townhomes, brownstones, penthouses, single-unit co-op renovations, luxury restaurants, bars, clubs, lounges, and retail interiors. They work on projects where quality, craftsmanship, design execution, and attention to detail are paramount, making this an excellent opportunity for a PM looking to work on some of NYC's most sophisticated interiors.

Description

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Take ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion and closeout
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement plans
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, consultants, and client representatives
  • Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication among all stakeholders
  • Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contract documents
  • Monitor project costs, commitments, changes, and overall financial performance
  • Coordinate long-lead materials, specialty trades, and critical procurement items
  • Work closely with the Superintendent to coordinate field operations and project sequencing
  • Identify potential schedule, budget, and design issues and develop solutions proactively
  • Maintain project documentation and provide regular progress updates to ownership
  • Manage project closeout, punch list, commissioning, and turnover
  • Utilize Procore or comparable construction management software

Profile

The Project Manager should have the following experience:

  • 5+ years of construction/project management experience
  • Strong experience working for a General Contractor
  • Proven experience managing high-end residential, luxury retail, or luxury hospitality interiors
  • Experience with projects such as custom townhomes, brownstones, penthouses, luxury apartments/co-ops, restaurants, bars, clubs, lounges, or high-end retail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships
  • Strong understanding of construction means and methods, drawings, specifications, and contract documents
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Procore experience strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field preferred
