This role leads mission-critical infrastructure projects across data centers, healthcare facilities, telecom networks, satellite facilities, energy systems, and other environments where downtime is not an option. The Project Manager serves as the primary bridge between engineering, construction, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. The position supports both construction execution and technical consulting engagements, managing multiple stakeholders, driving project schedules, overseeing budgets, leading meetings, coordinating field activities, and navigating complex technical projects. This is a fully remote role within the United States that requires approximately 30-40% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of mission-critical infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, reliability, and minimal downtime across data centers, healthcare facilities, telecom networks, satellite facilities, and energy systems.
• Serve as the central point of coordination between engineering teams, construction personnel, clients, vendors, subcontractors, consultants, and executive leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop, manage, and track project schedules to ensure milestones and deliverables are completed on time and in alignment with client expectations and contractual obligations.
• Oversee project budgets, including cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting, to ensure projects are delivered within approved financial parameters.
• Define, manage, and control project scope, including handling change orders, documenting impacts, and communicating changes to all stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address issues that could affect schedule, budget, safety, or quality.
• Coordinate field activities and on-site work, including construction, MEP systems, HVAC, commissioning, and controls-related tasks, to ensure smooth execution and adherence to design and standards.
• Lead and facilitate project meetings with clients, internal teams, and external partners, providing clear updates, action items, and decisions.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field teams by setting expectations, monitoring performance, and ensuring alignment with project goals and quality standards.
• Maintain strong client-facing communication, providing regular status updates, managing expectations, and building long-term relationships.
• Support both new construction and retrofit or renovation projects, including work in occupied facilities where continuity of operations is critical.
• Drive consistency across projects by supporting PMO standards, project delivery processes, and best practices in project management.
• Support energy efficiency, reliability, and sustainability improvements in existing facilities through thoughtful project planning and execution.
• Handle multiple concurrent projects, balancing priorities and resources across a diverse portfolio of mission-critical engagements.
• Contribute to the growth and improvement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies within a growing organization.
• Collaborate closely with construction managers, engineers, and PMO leadership to align project execution with organizational objectives.
• Travel throughout North America as needed to attend site visits, client meetings, and project reviews, representing the organization professionally and effectively.

Essential Skills

• Active PMP Certification.
• At least 5 years of project management experience.
• Proven experience managing construction, engineering, energy, infrastructure, mission-critical, MEP, commissioning, controls, HVAC, data center, healthcare, telecom, or industrial projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, scope, change orders, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, vendors, consultants, engineers, and field teams across multiple disciplines.
• Strong client-facing communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout North America as needed.
• Hands-on project management experience in environments where uptime, reliability, and safety are critical.
• Solid understanding of construction and engineering workflows within mission-critical or infrastructure-focused projects.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience delivering data center or other mission-critical projects.
• Healthcare facility construction or infrastructure project experience.
• Commissioning experience for complex systems or facilities.
• Mechanical or electrical project management experience, particularly involving MEP systems.
• Experience supporting retrofit or renovation projects in occupied facilities where operations must remain active.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical distribution, controls, and related building systems.
• Experience managing multi-site project portfolios with consistent standards and reporting.
• Experience working within a Project Management Office (PMO) environment and following established PMO processes.
• DCEP, CDCP, or other data center-related certifications are a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture that values ownership, accountability, communication, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Comfort operating with a high degree of independence and autonomy while remaining proactive and collaborative.
• Curiosity and a willingness to engage with a wide range of technical topics, including construction, MEP systems, commissioning, controls, HVAC, energy projects, and mission-critical infrastructure.

Work Environment

This is a fully remote position with flexibility on location within the United States. The work environment includes a mix of home office work, customer interaction, virtual project meetings, and regular site visits, with approximately 30-40% travel across North America. Project Managers collaborate closely with construction managers, engineers, PMO leadership, clients, subcontractors, and executive stakeholders in a fast-paced consulting environment where every project is different. One month may involve a data center cooling retrofit, while the next may focus on a healthcare or telecom infrastructure upgrade. The role offers a high level of autonomy and ownership, as the Project Manager serves as the primary project lead supporting the construction management team and driving consistency across projects. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Littleton, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $72.00/hr.
