Location: Juno Beach, Florida

Role Overview

The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of a project after it is turned over for field execution. This role manages large-scale energy storage projects, ranging from 200 million to 1.5 billion dollars, and oversees project-associated departments during the execution phase. The position involves leading advanced technical, financial, and regulatory planning for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from early development through to construction readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage project execution for large-scale energy storage projects, providing oversight on power electronics, battery storage system design, and substation integration.
• Lead advanced pre-construction planning for utility-scale BESS projects, integrating engineering, financial modeling, and procurement strategy.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract administration, and permitting processes.
• Oversee staff and employee management, project management planning, cost management, time management, and quality and schedule adherence.
• Manage the commissioning, start-up, and operational readiness of the facility.
• Coordinate with environmental, regulatory, land acquisition, and interconnection teams to ensure comprehensive project development.
• Source, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts for critical services such as engineering and construction.
• Act as the company representative with local, national, and international agencies during the execution phase.
• Interface with executive leadership, suppliers, and regulatory agencies, presenting project progress and risk mitigation strategies.
• Ensure a seamless handover of projects to the Construction Project Manager.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field is required.

Experience: A minimum of 11 to 15 years of experience is required in leading energy storage and infrastructure projects, with a focus on ensuring engineering and financial integration.

Technical Skills: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required, along with strong capabilities in project management, communication, financial analysis, and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
• Six Sigma experience is desired.
• Technical experience with renewable energy projects, particularly in electricity markets, renewables, and battery projects, is a plus.
