We're expanding our Land Development team in Tampa and looking for a Project Manager who's ready to take ownership of meaningful projects and play a key role in shaping communities across Florida.
In this role, you'll lead diverse land development projects-from initial concept and due diligence through permitting and construction-while partnering closely with clients, municipalities, and internal teams. This is a high-visibility position offering leadership responsibility, client interaction, and a clear path for growth.
Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus!
What You'll Do:
- Lead and manage land development projects for Municipal clients across Florida
- Oversee site design including grading, drainage, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway design.
- Navigate and coordinate entitlement and permitting processes with local agencies and municipalities.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, building and maintaining strong relationships while identifying opportunities for additional services.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, technical reports, calculations, and specifications to ensure quality and compliance.
- Develop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including planning, environmental, transportation, and surveying.
- Proactively identify risks and develop practical, cost-effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure all designs meet local, state, and federal regulations as well as CPH's high-quality standards.
What You'll Bring:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 8-15+ years of experience in land development engineering.
- Proven experience managing site development projects and client relationships.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain quickly) strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong experience with site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with local permitting processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with project management tools (Deltek Vision, Smartsheet, or similar) is a plus.
