    Lead Project Manager, Advanced Metering Infrastructure

    Your role in our success will be:

    The Lead Project Manager serves as a senior project management leader responsible for overseeing large, complex, and strategically significant capital projects and programs. This position provides leadership, mentorship, governance oversight, and project management expertise across multiple projects.

    The Lead Project Manager establishes best practices, supports organizational project management standards, and serves as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on project execution strategy and performance. This role will be leading the implementation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure across the Chesapeake Utilities operating territory.

    What youll be working on:

    • Lead execution of major capital projects and strategic initiatives, with a specific focus in Advanced Metering Infrastructure
    • Provide oversight and guidance for multiple project managers and project teams.
    • Develop and implement project delivery strategies and governance frameworks.
    • Review project performance, forecasts, and recovery plans.
    • Lead executive project reviews and steering committee meetings.
    • Drive project risk management and strategic issue resolution.
    • Ensure alignment between project objectives and organizational goals.
    • Establish and promote project management best practices and standards.
    • Mentor and develop project management personnel.
    • Support portfolio planning, capital allocation, and prioritization decisions.
    • Evaluate organizational project management maturity and recommend improvements.
    • Assist the Manager, Project Management with workforce planning and capability development.

    Who you are:

    • Bachelors degree Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
    • 8+ years of progressively responsible project management experience.
    • Extensive experience working with Advanced Metering Infrastructure
    • Standard driver's license
    • Demonstrated success managing large-scale capital projects and programs.
    • Strong executive communication and leadership skills.
    • Experience leading cross-functional teams in complex project environments.
    • PMP certification, Graduate Degree, or advanced experience in AMI
    • Preferred Experience:
    • Utility, infrastructure, LNG, pipeline, power generation, or major energy project experience.
    • Experience developing project management standards and governance processes.
