Title: Project Manager
Location: Hybrid / Irvine, CA

Ekman Associates is a management consulting firm that specializes in developing business, digital, and technology strategy, delivering solutions, and addressing human resource demands.

Summary:
We are seeking a highly talented and motivated Project Manager that is able to manage multiple complex programs / projects and drive results. This role requires that you have the ability to quickly building rapport across multidisciplinary teams. Primary role will be to project manage M&A efforts such as M&A Migration - migrate users to client systems. Must understands the M365 environment and tactical execution and ability to manage hardware/infrastructure projects that focus on transition of applications from one environment to another environment.

Key Skills:
  • Project Management Experience / PMP Certified preferred.
  • Experience with varying methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
  • Expertise with PM tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.
  • MS 365 Application Proficiency
  • M&A expertise
Responsibilities :
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Clearly communicate and document processes and updates to the team, vendors, and partners.
  • Able to work independently but also with the team for making good decisions.
  • Manage changes and demonstrate flexibility to the project scope and project schedule.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors, where applicable.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Monitors progress; reviews work progress on daily basis; prepares internal and external reports pertaining to project(s) status.
  • Plans ahead to anticipate and mitigate risks; prevent problems and resolve issues.
  • Communicate project expectations, risks, and escalations across all levels of the organization.
  • Coordinate and manage change control activities in adherence to PMO standards.
  • Effectively deliver successful project to completion on-time and within budget.
  • Effectively manage project scope, schedule, and budgets, while proactively identifying risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Apply varying methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall), types, and sizes, ensuring objectives and project deliverables are accomplished according to plan.
  • Lead execution and delivery of solutions.
  • Drive and influence technical strategy, proactively identify problems and align on priorities.
  • Build strong, trusting partnerships to readily mobilize people and influence across a broad range of partners, leaders, and organizations without authority.
  • Deliver timely, effective, easily understandable, concise project deliverables including detailed project work plans, presentations, budget reviews, cross-project dependencies, risks analyses and mitigation, strategies, stakeholder coordination and status communication.
  • Communicate across audiences, effectively understanding and utilizing escalation paths, and updating stakeholders.
  • Create the project work plan and really manage the plan across IT, business and resources.
  • Ability to translate technical rollouts and features to non-technical audiences.
  • Handle high volume workloads and provide exceptional customer support.
  • Accountable for driving delivery of projects from start to finish.
  • Ability to manages external resources; vendors and contractors when required.
  • Independently manage teams and help groups problem solve.
  • Facilitate meetings, discussions and document key decisions made.
  • Manage tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • B.S./B.A. degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5 to 8 years' experience leading technical infrastructure focused projects.
  • Experience in project managing infrastructure projects such as decommissioning/moving/upgrading infrastructure technology.
  • Experience in managing M&A projects such as onboarding (email transfers, security transfers, etc.), integration, decommissions, etc.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with large projects, organizational skills, and an ability to maintain and create standards.
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision; must be a self-motivated self-starter who can initiate ideas and take ownership of work.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and projects and forecast upcoming project needs.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills, as well as strong and consistent attention to detail.
  • Results-oriented with initiative to work until job is complete.
  • Excellent communicator Organization skills, Smart sheets, Office 365 application proficiency.
  • Good general understanding of business processes, data, and applications.
  • Business Analysis – Experience working with business teams to gather requirements and fulfill those requirements.
