Description

Project details: new pump coming on the market and Client is manufacturer of record for the device also serving as design owner. The successful candidate will be responsible for complaint evaluation lab set up and implementation. The individual in this role will receive complaint details and confirm issue while providing feedback to the design team.
Understanding the process of building the complaint lab and experience in the industry space is key to knowing what is expected. The team is not looking for someone to come in and just monitor but someone who is actively engaged and can be forward looking, anticipating risk and providing solutions. Design transfer and product transfer are some key resume words to look for in a resume .

Description Details

Are you open to look at candidates willing to relocate? Yes but we will not cover relocation expenses and the relocation must be near hire date. Must be on site 3 days per week.

What are the top 3-5 skills requirements should this person have?
Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in a regulated technical, laboratory, pharmaceutical, medical device, manufacturing, or life sciences environment.
Experience developing integrated schedules and managing project governance, meetings, action tracking, status reporting, and risks/issues.
Strong communication, organization, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to identify critical paths and drive mitigation, acceleration, and recovery actions.
Ability to work effectively with technical, quality, facilities/engineering, laboratory, procurement, IT, vendor, and senior stakeholder groups.
What is a nice to have (but not required) regarding skills, requirements, experience, education, or certification?
Examples: Bachelor of Science; 4 year pharma, health care, or regulated industry

PMP, CAPM, or equivalent project management certification.
Experience with laboratory construction, renovation, commissioning, qualification, validation, or operational readiness.
Experience with complaint handling, product quality, laboratory testing, investigations, or post-market surveillance.
Experience in GLP, GMP, or a similarly regulated environment.
Familiarity with change control, quality systems, validation documentation, inspection/audit readiness, and geographically distributed teams.

No more than 40 hours/wk. There may be weeks when less than 40 hours are required to move core project activities along.

AllerganDirect is a business-critical eCommerce platform operating on a 22-day sprint cadence with distributed Client and vendor teams across multiple time zones. As delivery governance, platform ownership, and Jira/Confluence administration continue to move in-house, this role is responsible for driving execution, delivery predictability, vendor accountability, and continuous improvement.

Success is measured by delivering commitments, removing bottlenecks, improving transparency, and enabling Product Owners to focus on roadmap and business priorities.

Key Responsibilities

Own sprint execution, delivery flow, and release readiness.
Drive backlog grooming, estimation, prioritization, and Definition of Ready compliance.
Establish and maintain delivery metrics, including velocity, throughput, capacity, and committed-versus-delivered performance.
Lead execution across Client and vendor teams, ensuring commitments are met and risks are addressed early.
Drive accountability with vendors and external partners through clear metrics, issue management, quality oversight, and escalation processes.
Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and release coordination.
Produce concise status reporting for leadership, highlighting progress, risks, decisions, and upcoming milestones.
Support the transition of delivery processes, reporting, and tooling from vendor-led to Client-owned operations.
Maintain Jira and Confluence standards, dashboards, workflows, and reporting.
Promote a culture of ownership, transparency, and continuous improvement across internal and external teams.
Skills & Experience

5+ years leading Agile delivery for digital products, eCommerce platforms, or customer-facing applications.
Strong Jira and Confluence expertise, including workflows, boards, dashboards, reporting, and administration.
Experience supporting eCommerce, B2B/B2C digital commerce, customer portals, order management, or transactional platforms.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence third-party vendors, systems integrators, and offshore teams while maintaining accountability for delivery outcomes.
Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
Ability to establish meaningful delivery metrics and drive data-based decisions.
Agile certifications preferred (CSM, PSM, SAFe, etc.).
Pharma, healthcare, or other regulated-industry experience preferred.
Comfortable working with AI-assisted delivery and reporting tools.
Location

Candidates able to work onsite multiple days per week in Irvine, CA are strongly preferred. We will also consider highly qualified East Coast remote candidates who can effectively support teams, vendors, and stakeholders across multiple U.S. time zones.

First 90 Days

Assume ownership of sprint execution, release coordination, and delivery reporting.
Establish baseline delivery metrics and capacity planning.
Improve backlog readiness and reduce execution bottlenecks.
Increase visibility and accountability across Client and vendor teams.
Recommend and implement process improvements that improve delivery predictability while reducing unnecessary overhead.
