Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Operations Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure initiatives across network, voice, telephony, data center, and modernization programs. This role is responsible for driving projects from planning through implementation and closeout while ensuring alignment between technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders.
You will step into active projects already underway, quickly establish ownership, and maintain execution momentum while providing strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder communication. This position is ideal for a Project Manager who understands enterprise infrastructure and can confidently engage with engineers without serving as a hands on technical resource.
Key Responsibilities
Lead enterprise infrastructure projects from initiation through implementation and closeout
Assume ownership of active projects and ensure seamless continuity of execution
Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, RAID logs, action plans, and status reporting
Facilitate project meetings, implementation planning sessions, and stakeholder reviews
Coordinate engineers, architects, vendors, and business stakeholders across multiple initiatives
Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, and change requests
Support infrastructure refreshes, migrations, deployments, cutovers, and modernization efforts
Track deliverables, ownership, timelines, and completion status to maintain project accountability
Escalate blockers and drive timely resolution across technical and business teams
Maintain project documentation, governance artifacts, implementation plans, and closeout materials
Facilitate decision making and alignment across technical and non technical stakeholders
Prepare executive level project communications, reporting, and status updates
Key Requirements
5 plus years of Project Management experience leading enterprise infrastructure initiatives
Proven experience managing large scale network and infrastructure projects with experience clearly demonstrated on the resume
Strong understanding of enterprise networking, infrastructure lifecycle management, hardware refreshes, and end of life remediation programs
Experience supporting voice and telephony related projects
Knowledge of data center operations, disaster recovery, business continuity, cloud services, compute, and storage environments
Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams and technical dependencies simultaneously
Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts without performing hands on engineering work
Strong experience coordinating cross functional technical teams and third party vendors in complex enterprise environments
Proven ability to manage RAID logs, project schedules, implementation plans, and executive communications
Experience taking ownership of projects already in progress and quickly building credibility with stakeholders
Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Teams, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar project management tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate technical discussions into business friendly updates
