Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager, Product Development to oversee the planning, execution, and successful delivery of new product development initiatives. This role will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage project timelines and budgets, assess risks, and ensure product development projects align with business goals and customer needs.

Description
Responsibilities:
- Manage new product development projects through a structured stage-gate process.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, laboratory personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Partner closely with Product Marketing to align project deliverables with market requirements and business objectives.
- Identify project risks, conflicts, and obstacles, and implement mitigation and contingency plans.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project success.
- Provide regular project updates, reviews, and stage-gate status reports to leadership.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and escalate critical issues when necessary.
- Drive projects to successful completion while maintaining quality, cost, and schedule targets.
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience managing product development or technical product projects.
- Proven track record leading new product development projects from concept through commercialisation.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and project management software tools.
- Experience within a manufacturing or engineered products environment.
- Ability to understand and work with mechanical systems and technical product designs.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and drive collaboration across teams.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, including limited overnight travel.
