Akkodis is seeking a Project Manager III for a Contract job with a client in Waltham, MA. The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, and Project Management, along with a proven ability to lead complex analytics initiatives from concept through delivery.
Rate Range: $65/hour to $70/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Project Manager III job responsibilities include:
Lead and manage 2-3 concurrent Data Science and AI projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline expectations.
Define project direction, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and success criteria in partnership with business stakeholders and technical teams.
Drive the implementation of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions, ensuring insights and outputs are actionable and aligned with business goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Engineers, Product Teams, Business Stakeholders, and external consultants.
Apply project management, change management, and stakeholder management best practices to support project adoption and business value realization.
Build, coordinate, and manage project delivery teams, including internal resources and external contractors.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and proactively resolve issues to maintain delivery commitments.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's Degree in a quantitative field such as:
Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research.
Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor's Degree will also be considered.
Strong experience in:
Data Science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Project Management
Proven ability to lead enterprise analytics, AI, or transformation programs.
Deep understanding of:
Statistical Analysis, Probabilistic Modeling, Machine Learning Methodologies, Generative AI, Agentic AI
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Energy or Utility industry experience.
Experience with:
Azure Cloud Services, Power BI, ArcGIS, GIS Analytics, Agile Frameworks
Active GitHub portfolio or participation in open-source projects.
Experience participating in:
Kaggle Competitions, KDNuggets Challenges, Data Science Hackathons
Strong technical proficiency in Python and modern AI/ML toolsets.

Pay Details: $65.00 to $70.00 per hour
