Description

Position Summary

The Project Manager will lead a department reorganization and coordinate the workstreams required to design and implement the future-state structure. The role will partner with department leadership and workstream leads to build and manage the project plan, track milestones and dependencies, facilitate decisions, and support a smooth transition to new roles and ways of working.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the department reorganization project from planning through implementation and closeout.
  • Create and maintain an integrated project plan with clear milestones, deliverables, owners, and timelines.
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams and ensure their activities remain aligned with the overall project objectives.
  • Track progress, actions, decisions, risks, issues, and cross-workstream dependencies.
  • Facilitate project meetings, workstream reviews, and leadership decision-making sessions.
  • Provide clear and timely status updates, dashboards, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve issues, manage changes, and address resource or timing concerns.
  • Support organizational readiness by documenting and communicating changes to roles, responsibilities, processes, and ways of working.
  • Maintain project documentation and protect confidential organizational and personnel information.
  • Capture lessons learned and transition ongoing responsibilities to the appropriate owners.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Project or program management experience supporting cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience managing project plans, workstreams, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in an environment with changing needs.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Experience preparing and communicating project updates to leadership.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with organizational transformation, department redesign, operating-model implementation, or change management.
  • PMP certification.
  • Experience with Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience working in a large, complex, or matrixed organization.

 

Success in This Role

  • Delivery: Reorganization milestones and deliverables are completed according to plan.
  • Coordination: Workstreams have clear ownership, aligned timelines, and managed dependencies.
  • Governance: Leadership receives timely information and decisions are documented and followed through.
  • Transition: Stakeholders understand the future-state structure and ongoing ownership is established.
