Position Overview

Ashford Glass & Mirror is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Level 2 Project Manager to join our growing team. This position is responsible for managing commercial glazing projects from contract award through project closeout. The ideal candidate will oversee project schedules, budgets, procurement, and customer communication while ensuring projects are completed safely, profitably, and on time.

This role independently manages small to mid-sized projects and supports Senior Project Managers on larger, more complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Documentation

• Review contracts, specifications, drawings, and project scope requirements.
• Manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
• Maintain accurate project records and closeout documents.
• Participate in project kickoff and coordination meetings.

Budget & Cost Management

• Track project budgets, labor costs, material costs, and profitability.
• Monitor financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist with forecasting, billing, and project reporting.
• Manage and document change orders to ensure proper cost recovery.

Scheduling & Coordination

• Develop and maintain project schedules and milestone tracking.
• Coordinate with customers, vendors, subcontractors, fabrication teams, and field crews.
• Identify schedule risks and implement corrective actions when needed.
• Support manpower planning and resource allocation.

Procurement & Material Management

• Coordinate purchasing and material releases.
• Track fabrication schedules and delivery timelines.
• Ensure materials arrive on time to support installation schedules.
• Resolve material and vendor-related issues proactively.

Customer & Vendor Relations

• Serve as a point of contact for customers, general contractors, architects, and project stakeholders.
• Provide regular project updates and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Build strong professional relationships that support project success.
• Attend project meetings and jobsite visits as needed.

Field Support & Safety

• Work closely with field supervisors and installation teams.
• Support compliance with company and jobsite safety requirements.
• Assist in resolving field issues and project challenges.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, glazing, storefront, curtainwall, or related trades preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local job sites as required.

Preferred Skills

• Commercial glazing industry experience.
• Knowledge of storefront, curtainwall, entrance systems, and architectural glass products.
• Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
• Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail.
