Project Manager II - Education ConstructionWilliams Company is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead major K-12 and higher-education projects throughout the Tampa market.This position is ideal for a proven project leader who has successfully delivered several high-dollar, large-square-foot educational facilities-from greenfield development and preconstruction through final closeout. You will take full ownership of project performance while building trusted relationships with school districts, higher-education clients, design partners, subcontractors, and internal teams.What You'll DoLead complex, ground-up K-12 and higher-education construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.Manage project budgets, forecasting, billing, contingencies, and change orders.Develop and maintain CPM schedules, logistics plans, procurement strategies, and performance benchmarks.Direct subcontractor buyout, contract negotiations, scope coordination, and compliance.Partner closely with Superintendents to align field operations, staffing, sequencing, safety, and quality.Lead owner, architect, subcontractor, and internal project meetings.Identify risks early and resolve design, scope, cost, logistics, and scheduling challenges.Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure timely completion of all closeout requirements.Serve as the primary client contact and build relationships that support repeat business.Mentor project engineers, assistant project managers, and other junior team members.What We're Looking ForApproximately eight or more years of construction management experience.Demonstrated success completing several large, high-value K-12 or higher-education construction projects.Full project lifecycle experience, including greenfield development, preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.Advanced knowledge of construction contracts, project financials, scheduling, sequencing, risk management, and change management.Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with Procore and scheduling and construction technology such as P6, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.OSHA 30 certification or the ability to obtain it within 12 months.Valid driver's license and ability to travel based on project needs.Williams Company is a 100% employee-owned general contractor.
