An established and highly respected commercial General Contractor is seeking a Project Manager II to join its growing team. This Project Manager II will oversee projects across multiple market sectors including education, healthcare, office, and commercial construction while working within a collaborative, people-focused culture that prioritizes employee development and long-term success.

Description

The Project Manager II will report to senior operations leadership and be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role offers significant autonomy while working alongside experienced project teams.

  • Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution activities.
  • Manage owner, architect, engineer, and subcontractor relationships.
  • Monitor project financial performance, cost forecasting, and reporting.
  • Negotiate and administer subcontractor agreements and change orders.
  • Coordinate project teams to ensure schedule, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks while maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Lead project closeout activities and ensure successful project delivery.

Profile

For the Project Manager II we are seeking:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience managing commercial construction projects as a Project Manager.
  • Experience with one or more of the following sectors: K-12 education, healthcare, higher education, office, or commercial construction.
  • Strong understanding of construction contracts, budgeting, scheduling, and project controls.
  • Experience utilizing construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Track record of delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
