Description
As Project Manager II, you will be responsible for the overall success of assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout. Working in close partnership with field leadership, you will oversee project finances, procurement strategies, scheduling, risk management, client communication, and project team development.Key Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, startup, execution, and closeout while ensuring alignment with client objectives and company goals
- Own project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, cash flow management, billing, and reporting
- Develop and execute buyout, procurement, subcontracting, and material purchasing strategies
- Manage contract administration, change management, risk mitigation, claims documentation, and commercial negotiations
- Partner with project teams to drive scheduling, procurement coordination, quality control, commissioning, and closeout activities
- Serve as the primary client contact, leading project meetings and maintaining strong owner, architect, and consultant relationships
- Oversee trade partner performance, accountability, safety planning, and project execution strategies
- Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers while fostering a positive, high-performing team culture
Profile
A successful Project Manager II should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
- 6-9+ years of construction management experience with a proven track record of independently managing projects through completion
- Strong experience with project financial management, forecasting, budgeting, and cost control
- Demonstrated expertise in contract administration, change management, buyout, procurement, and subcontractor negotiations
- Experience leading client relationships and managing multiple project stakeholders
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, and construction accounting/project management software such as Sage 300 CRE or similar
- Scheduling experience utilizing Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or comparable platforms
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
