Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager II to join a leading global healthcare organization supporting multiple laboratories within a diagnostic and pharmaceutical services network. This role will drive high-impact initiatives focused on streamlining workflows, improving processes, implementing innovative business tools, and leveraging emerging technologies such as AI. The Project Manager II will also support capacity planning and operational reporting by analyzing laboratory data and developing dashboards that enable informed business decisions. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter and strategic problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works independently, navigates ambiguity with confidence, and consistently drives projects to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project planning, execution, and delivery of complex business initiatives.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Drive process improvements and workflow simplification across multiple laboratories.
  • Support implementation of new business tools, including AI solutions.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and data for laboratory capacity planning.
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, meetings, action items, and project communications.
  • Conduct lessons-learned sessions and promote continuous improvement.
  • Proactively identify and resolve project challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Life Sciences preferred.
  • 2-5 years of project management experience in diagnostics, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or related industries.
  • Experience leading process improvement projects.
  • Strong skills in project planning, risk management, stakeholder management, and critical path analysis.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and navigate ambiguity.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including MS Project.
  • Proficiency with Google Suite.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results quickly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
  • Experience with Scrum/Agile project management methodologies.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of AI tools, automation, or other emerging technologies.
  • Experience developing dashboards and leveraging operational data for capacity planning, reporting, and business decision-making.
