Project Manager II
Location: Tempe, AZ or Alpharetta, GA
Duration: 12 months, with potential extensions
Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite
Pay: $60-71
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager II to support a large-scale transition and integration program, with a primary focus on
Identity and Access Management (IAM), cybersecurity initiatives, and coordination across multiple technical workstreams.
The ideal candidate will have
3–5 years of project management experience, preferably managing technical or technology-focused initiatives. This individual should be comfortable working with technical teams, quickly understanding new concepts, and independently driving project activities from planning through delivery.
Deep mainframe expertise is not required, but general knowledge of mainframe environments, access enablement, and IAM concepts is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate project activities across nine concurrent workstreams.
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules and delivery plans.
- Identify, track, communicate, and help mitigate project risks and issues.
- Monitor project progress and provide clear, timely status reporting.
- Coordinate dependencies and deliverables across technical and business teams.
- Lead project discussions and maintain effective stakeholder communication.
- Support Identity and Access Management and cybersecurity-related initiatives.
- Partner closely with technical resources to understand requirements, dependencies, and delivery needs.
- Drive follow-ups, decisions, and project activities with minimal supervision.
- Help ensure projects and workstreams remain aligned with established objectives and timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Approximately 3–5 years of Project Management experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing technical projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts.
- Ability to understand technical concepts quickly and communicate effectively with technical teams.
- Experience with project planning, scheduling, risk management, status reporting, and delivery coordination.
- Experience coordinating multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and project dependencies.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Confidence leading discussions, raising concerns, and communicating with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience successfully delivering projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- General knowledge of mainframe environments.
- Familiarity with access enablement or access provisioning processes.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity or information security initiatives.
- Previous experience working on complex transition, integration, or transformation programs.

The successful candidate will be a proactive, confident Project Manager who can hit the ground running in a complex technical environment. They should be comfortable taking ownership, asking the right questions, identifying risks, and keeping multiple teams aligned.
This position is best suited for someone who combines solid project-management fundamentals with enough technical understanding to work effectively with IAM, cybersecurity, and mainframe-focused teams without requiring extensive technical coaching.
