    Under general supervision of the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Project Manager is a critical role responsible for planning, creating, and managing projects that support the mission and operations of the Dallas Housing Authority (DHA). This position ensures that projects are executed efficiently, completed on schedule, and meet DHA standards and requirements. The Project Manager collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan, organize, and oversee the execution of one or more projects for the Dallas Housing Authority.
    • Coordinate project activities, assign duties to team members, and track progress to ensure timely completion.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Ensure projects comply with DHA policies, local regulations, and funding requirements.
    • Prepare and present project updates, reports, and performance metrics to DHA leadership.
    • Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
    • Meet with DHA senior leadership and stakeholders to discuss project plans, requirements, and desired outcomes
    • Plan projects collaboratively with team members, developing detailed project structures and timelines
    • Communicate project objectives and individual responsibilities clearly to all team members
    • Delegate tasks based on team members' skills and strengths to maintain project schedules and quality standards
    • Coordinate with other DHA teams, departments, and external vendors to integrate efforts and achieve project goals
    • Monitor project progress, adjusting plans and resources as needed to meet goals and deadlines
    • Provide guidance and support to staff to increase efficiency and resolve challenges.
    • Evaluate project outcomes and performance metrics to identify lessons learned and make recommendations for future projects.
    • Supports the relationship between DHA and the constituent population by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with clients, visitors, and DHA staff
    • Enthusiastically promotes the President/CEO's priorities for the operations of DHA

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Master's degree from an accredited college or university, and experience in public administration, public policy, project management or similar fields.
    • Valid Texas Driver's License Required.
