Project Manager I - Process Aeration

This important position is responsible for major aspects of the execution of projects in accordance with Ovivo standards, customer needs, project margins, and committed schedules.  Ideal for ambitious early-career engineers, this role provides a fast-track path into project management, offering broad exposure to full project lifecycle execution, stakeholder coordination, and problem-solving in the vital water and wastewater industry.

Travel will be domestic and will be less than 10% of work time.

What is the role?

• Review applicable job data, including purchase orders, project plans, specs, and provide comments when applicable.
• Coordinate with other departments and Project Managers to meet scheduled task deadlines, maintain schedule for purchasing, fabrication, construction, inspection, start-up, etc., and prioritize staff workload to meet goals.
• Communicate promptly with the customer on project schedule and any issues.
• Scheduling and conducting project review meeting, focusing on scope of supply, cost, construction, and project scheduling.
• Advising Project Management and Project Engineers of project status while adhering to all appropriate policies and established safety procedures.
• Review back charge negotiations and process change orders.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

Does this sound like you?

Qualifications

• Mechanical Design or Project Engineer experience, especially in an industrial equipment manufacturing environment
• 1+ years work experience in project management or additional education / certifications in project management .
• Exposure to managing large scale projects in person and at a distance.
• A proven record of problem solving
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to make decisions requiring the use of a variety of variables in non-standard situations.
• The ability to read design documents and drafting schematics.

Education and training

Preferred:

• B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering, or Construction Management from an ABET accredited university or equivalent work experience
• Certifications in Project Management is a plus
