JOB TITLE: Project Manager I
LOCATION:Lancaster, NY
PAY RATE: $50-60/hour

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

• Job Type: Contract (9 months with potential for extension)

• Industry: Aerospace / Defense / Aviation

• Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, onsite.

Qualifying Questions:

Summary: 

• Leads project planning sessions from ideation through project completion.

• Coordinates cross-functional contributions and maintains project dashboards.

• Manages project progress and adapts work as required to meet schedule requirements.

• Oversees all incoming and outgoing project documentation.

• Develops and monitors a risk mitigation plan for assigned projects.

• Conducts project reviews and creates detailed reports for executive staff.

• Optimizes and improves project processes and overall approach where necessary.

• Follows correct procedures and guidelines including Group Recommended Practices.

• Applies project scheduling and management practices to manage multiple moving project parts simultaneously.

• Applies aerospace design and engineering principles, aircraft systems knowledge, engineering analysis, testing, and manufacturing processes to project execution.

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

• PMP Certification or similar training.

• Significant experience in project scheduling and management.

• Significant experience using project scheduling software such as MS Project.

• Proficiency in the use of MS Office applications.

• Product design experience.

• 5+ years of Project Manager experience or similar.

• Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) License.

• Preferred: AS9100 Internal Auditor Certification, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt, or PMP certification.
