Summary: Organize, Plan, and Execute Commercial Glazing Projects, overseeing all project aspects of estimating, contracting, submittals, fabrication, installation, and project closeout.
Role and Responsibilities:
Represent FG&P when working with contractors and clients Review and evaluate job received Create job in cERP Review specifications to get appropriate forms and submittals issued Review job to get shop drawings started by drafter Issue purchase orders for booking glass and metal Review completed shop drawings and submit to general contractors Prepare daily work tickets and installation orders for the field installation crews Follow up to get shops back in timely manner Receive approved shop drawings and order materials Verify rough openings at job site for revisions Make cut list for fabrication of metal in shop Order glass for job once approved by Sr Project Manager Instruct glaziers of proper installation procedures at job sites Issue close-out documents Review end of job punch list Handle change orders for job Attend job and departmental meetings as required Assist with estimating as needed Partners with our Safety Department and Operations Leadership to promote and ensure a safe work environment and ensure all safety precautions are met. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Education & Qualification Requirements High school diploma or five to eight years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Associates Degree in related field preferred. Must have valid driver's license.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of computers and experience with AutoCad, Microsoft Office Word, and Excel. Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly Ability to organize and direct oneself Ability to organize and direct a project to completion Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely
