This role is ideal for an architect who enjoys owning client relationships, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and keeping complex projects aligned with design intent, schedule, budget, and technical standards.

Performance Objectives
  • Lead 4–6 concurrent corporate interiors or mixed-use projects from kickoff through certificate of occupancy.
  • Serve as the primary client contact and guide projects through design, consultant coordination, documentation, permitting, and construction.
  • Translate design intent into coordinated consultant packages and construction documents that meet code, accessibility, and permitting requirements.
  • Manage project scope, contracts, staffing, man-hour budgets, schedules, and monthly billing to maintain strong project performance.
  • Direct designers, job captains, and consultants while leading regular coordination and design review meetings.
  • Oversee construction administration, including RFIs, submittals, site observations, and punch-list activities.
  • Mentor junior staff in Revit/BIM standards, detailing, documentation quality, and code application.

Environment & Resources

You will work within a collaborative Houston studio alongside architects, interior designers, project managers, and consultants.

The position provides access to Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, Newforma or similar project-management tools, and an established consultant network. Project Managers are given meaningful responsibility for work planning, project staffing, client communication, and overall delivery.

Essential Qualifications
  • Professional degree in Architecture, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Current architectural license.
  • 10–15 years of architectural experience, with significant project management responsibility.
  • Experience leading corporate interiors, mixed-use, high-rise, or similarly complex commercial projects.
  • Proven ability to produce and oversee permit-ready construction documents.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, detailing, and consultant coordination.
  • Proficiency in Revit/BIM, AutoCAD, and project-management platforms such as Newforma or equivalent.
  • Strong client-facing communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on schedule and within established budgets.

  • Project ownership: Lead projects from initial client discussions through construction and occupancy.
  • High-profile work: Contribute to significant workplace, commercial, mixed-use, and urban projects throughout the Houston market.
  • Client exposure: Serve as a key point of contact and develop long-term client relationships.
  • Leadership opportunity: Direct project teams while mentoring architects and designers earlier in their careers.
  • Collaborative studio environment: Work closely with experienced architects, designers, consultants, and firm leadership.
  • Professional growth: Join an established practice that supports continued education, professional development, and licensure.
  • Competitive benefits: Package includes paid medical and dental coverage, life insurance, PTO, parking, and a 401(k).
